Good Evening RMS family:
Happy May Day! The history teacher that still dwells within this principal facade thinks it necessary to point out that May 1 is traditionally viewed as “international workers day.” It is a day to celebrate those whose jobs sustain our society while remaining outside the view of most of the public. Our recent experience has brought these jobs front and center - so we would like to take this opportunity to thank those who are at work every day - keeping us safe and moving forward. We would also like to thank those who are staying at home, working with our students to maintain a semblance of normalcy, and allowing our young students the exuberance and joy of youth. Together we have created an environment where the cake pictured (created by a student in a moment of independent inspiration) can be seen as a celebration of all that is good about RMS - attention to detail, creativity, and sharing beauty with others. We only regret that we could not share in its deliciousness.
We have precious little to update today as we have completed meetings before the governor has finished his news conference. We do have a number of things to pass along from the community.
As always, and more now than ever before, thank you for your support of our students, school, and community.
Please reach out with questions or concerns.
