Dear RMS Community,
I wanted to thank RMS yet again. Fifteen years of living in Mardi Gras country and I was never made the king of any Krewe. This week I was honored to serve as the King/Sultan of our 20th annual Renaissance Festival - an honor I will treasure and remember. The combination of learning, fun, and community spirit shown throughout the festival was, and is, inspirational. Thank you to the 8th-grade team, to our staff (who stepped up to take on new and challenging roles), and to our over 50 parent volunteers who came together to put on a truly wonderful event.
We hope to build on the community spirit shown this week as we move forward into March. The specifics are listed below, but we wanted to invite everyone again to participate in the RMS community, whether through the reconstituted PTO, our parent social, our upcoming parent workshop on sexuality and gender identity, one of our concerts, chaperone opportunities, or simply coming by to say hello.
Please enjoy the February break. We will miss your students here at RMS, but know that you need some time to enjoy them as well. We look forward to having them back in the building in a little over a week. We have great things planned. Rest up!
