2015-2016 NH Blue Ribbon School. The NH Partners in Education annual recognizes and celebrates exceptional volunteer efforts in schools across the state. RMS has been recognized as a Blue Ribbon School for the 34th consecutive year. Thank you volunteers!2014 NELMS Spotlight School. The New England League of Middle Schools has identified RMS as a Spotlight School. Spotlight Schools are schools that have a record of effective teaching and learning for young adolescents and consistently implement middle level best practices. A NELMS Spotlight School is recognized for developing strong effective programs that reflect concepts contained in Turning Points 2000, and This We Believe, and current middle level state recommendations.
NELMS commended RMS specifically for:
-Providing students with enhanced curricula opportunities by taking advantage of its partnerships with Dartmouth College and CRREL.-Providing students with a strong "hands on approach" to lessons and assessments.
-Creating a strong supportive environment between students and staff.
-Providing a wide array of elective/enrichment opportunities.
-Maintaining a strong commitment to the "middle school" model and supporting these grades as an "explorative and growth" period for this age group.
2014 and 2015 Niche ranked Frances C. Richmond School 1st in NH for Best Public Middle Schools and 37th in National Best Public Middle Schools.
